Soroptimist is a global women's organization whose women volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls, through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. More than 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories support community-based and global projects benefiting women and girls. The organization is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to self-determination.
Soroptimist’s major project is the Women’s Opportunity Awards, which help women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.
Soroptimist also sponsors the Live Your Dream campaign, which encourages all women to live their dreams while helping others to do the same. Visit the campaign’s online home at LiveYourDreamCampaign.org.
Soroptimist International of Rocky Mountain Region participates in programs on the local level, depending on the specific needs of our community.
